A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Night_photo"A picture is worth a thousand words"  is a well known saying that definitely applies to real estate.  Many times a picture will be the only chance at making an impression on a buyer you will have.  If you fail to gain their interest they may move on, either by turning the  page or a quick click on the website.

More than 80 percent of the people who bought homes last year used a website, and they rated photos the most important tool in their search.  The double whammy is that Realtors do the same thing.  When searching for homes for their clients they work within a process of elimination.  If the photos do not do the home justice, this can be a quick delete from the agents tour plan for their client.

I love to go into a home and search those special characteristics that will talk to the buyer through photos.  Working with a photographer who is experienced in architectural photography provides a huge benefit.Tinceilingwindowkitchenlow

In the case of photos of your home, more is not always better.  It is a distraction and turn-off to see photos of a seller's book shelf stuffed with books,  cluttered desks, children's bedrooms with posters on the wall and endless other photos that cause a negative experience.

KitchenlowI like to work with the photographer to get  from 8 -10 shots of a home that show the character of the structure, the amenities, and if it is a plus, the land the home sits on and the view.  Sometimes, if the setting is right, a twilight photo of the home with all the lights on in the house adds a warm touch.

There are a number of excellent photographers on the island.  I work with only the best, as I know that I can count on them to give me the quality that the home deserves.   Professional photography of your home should not be an option.
